Gabrielle Williams received her MFA in Creative Writing from UNLV and her BA in Poetry from Columbia College Chicago. She has been nominated for the Best of the Net Anthology and two Pushcart Prizes. Her work has appeared in Amazon’s Day One, Whiskey Island, Fairy Tale Review, LEVELER, Dream Pop Press, Ghost Ocean, and others.

Originally from Chicago, she has been living in Las Vegas for three years. She writes about the moon, the desert, dreams, and mysticism. Her poetry explores mythic and historical female figures through nonlinear narratives. She is a Libra.

Some of her favorite writers are Mary Ruefle, Morgan Parker, Anne Carson, and Vi Khi Nao. Right now she’s reading Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado, and Milk by Dorothea Lasky.

When not writing poetry she spends most of her time hiking in the Southwest deserts. Currently she is teaching creative writing to middle and high schoolers at summer camps in the Bay Area.
