meet the devil

of his mouth
you had nightmares
i said alpha
you said bomb
god said
here is earth
there are stars
the devil
said this metal
will turn atoms
into stars
this is earth
its metal
its giant gases
and this is the hand
that smears
the mouth
that expels
there will be
fire and pain
in the promised
land

no land
