Rebecca Kokitus is an emerging writer from the greater Philadelphia area. She writes poetry, prose and essays that explore femininity, sexuality, mental illness, the otherworldly and the all-too-worldly. As a rural Pennsylvania native, she is constantly exploring the connections between the self, nature, and the divine.

Rebecca is currently studying English with a concentration in Writing at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

She has recent work published in {isacoustic*}, Horny Poetry Review, Rising Phoenix Review, and Amethyst Review, among other places. A full list of her publications can be found on her website.

She is currently working on compiling her first chapbook manuscript.

Rebecca reads as much poetry as she can in her free time. She is currently reading David Lehman’s The Daily Mirror, and hoping it will inspire her to follow Lehman’s lead and write a poem every day of the year, although she seriously doubts that.
