Circular arguments

play on a loop

with no resolution,

as we lose who we once were

to the friction chipping away at us

in microscopic increments.

Like overcrowded revolving doors,

trapping us on different sides

of transparent

yet unyielding walls,

we collectively push to escape

until finally the cage shifts,

leaving one stuck inside

yearning to move forward,

the other free on the outside,

clear to walk away.
