Whoa, like, what’s with the new design? Before you go off and explore, let me tell you a little about it first.

We decided to update the site partly because we think this new design just looks damn purdy. Mostly though, this design gives us much needed underlying functionality for future Maudlin projects that we have planned! It allows for easier discovery of the content we have published as well.

We brought Interviews and Reviews from Tumblr directly onto the homepage of this site so they are much more easily accessible. (More of them being added later.) Our Interviews/Reviews editor, Olivia will be working hard to push out more content for you on that front.

With this redesign, we will be shifting strategy a little bit by forgoing the monthly issue release schedule in favor of a schedule where we publish a single piece every 1-2 days, rotating between Fiction, Flash Fiction, Poetry, Interviews, Reviews, Videos, and Comics (coming soon!). This will be very beneficial to the authors we publish because they will get a larger focus on them and their work individually, while still being a part of a large collection of other authors that readers can discover.

We hope you enjoy the redesign. Go forth and read! Don’t forget to comment too! We love seeing what you thought of the latest pieces.

Quick overview/tutorial of important things

The Megamenu. If you hover over one of the 3 categories, the megamenu will pop up showing the 3 latest posts. You can also click on the menu title (ex. Poetry) or click ‘See All’ to see all of the posts in that category.

Hovering over the top right corner here shows the slider buttons that cycle through the most recent posts in all categories.

The all important search. Seriously, this tool is awesome for discovering random new content. Just type in anything and it’ll find a story related to it. Or search for authors and titles.
