He plops down a faded blue hardcover book
and says when he dies,
this has all we need to know.

This will tell you about the electronics and
engineering of transistor radios and
how I fixed them, how they hold their value
so read this and learn.

I’ll keep them under the bed, stored safely
in Ziplock freezer bags and Sterilite boxes
preserved until they’re ready for you.
Then when I’m gone I want you to go on eBay.

Don’t just get rid of them,
use some discernment in regard to
what other people are selling
and price them appropriately

so all my work doesn’t go to waste
and I can leave you with some money
when I’m burned or buried.
