Tara Stillions Whitehead is a hybrid-genre writer and filmmaker from Southern California living in Central Pennsylvania. She is the author of three books: Blood Histories (Galileo Press, 2021), The Year of the Monster (Unsolicited Press 2022), and They More than Burned (ELJ Editions 2023). Her writing has appeared in placed like Fairy Tale Review, The Rupture, and cream city review and was included in the Wigleaf Top 50 in 2021 and 2022. Her essay, "The Mother Must Die and Other Lies Fairy Tales Told Me," was listed as notable in Best American Essays 2022, edited by Alexander Chee, and she has received multiple Pushcart, Best of the Net, and Best Small Fiction nominations. She is Assistant Professor of Film, Video, and Digital Media at Messiah University.
