Rita J. Ray is the author of three poetry books: Because of Him – Poems of Praise, Thanksgiving and Devotion; Color My Thoughts; and From the Shadows. Her coming-of-age memoir will be published by She Writes Press in Fall 2027. A graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Journalism, and California State University at Dominquez Hills, Rita has worked as a journalist and as an educator. Now retired, she leads writing workshops for the Lucas County Library System in Northwest Ohio.
